You’ve offered a dog a second home. I mean whole heartedly bloody well done. There may well be hundred’s of reasons why your dog needs a second home from a happy home where, sadly, the owners health has taken an unexpected turn to those dogs who’ve sadly been abused in Southern Europe.
I think, no matter where a rescue comes from, it’ll take four months for them to settle into their new home. Remember everything we do with our dogs takes time. A rescue dog will be no different.
If you have a dog from one of the rescue charities then they’re will of being a couple of things. I know they’ll have vetted you and be confident you can look after the dog they’ve sent you home with. Secondly they’ll also want you to succeed and will give you lots of help to do so. Use this confidence and don’t be scared to seek help.
If you need it we can arrange regular times, both to help your new dog settle and to overtime any issues they may have.
