My Dogs

Uncategorized

It’s no secret that I love dogs. I have three much to my wife’s chagrin. All three are Hungarian Vizslak and very loving dogs. with their own personality’s and each of them needs a very different approach to get the best out of them.Seeing as I enjoy talking about them I thought I’d write a post about them

Henry.

Henry is my oldest Vizsla. He’s 11 in July, but doesn’t show it or act it. Henry taught me more about dog behaviour and training than any dog I’ve ever owned. Henry love’s working and training with canvas dummies but he does find the noise and activity of a shoot day a little to much to enjoy. himself. Henry proves it is perfectly OK to have a gun dog as a great pet.

Jazz.

Jazz is 7 1/2 and as been with me since she was an 8 week old puppy. Jazz responds very well to gentle handling and to training intended to build her confidence. She has a real sense of mischief, which I love, and if a dog can have a sense of humour she does.

Zola.

Zola is the newest member of my household. She’s 4 and the only one of the three who hasn’t been with me since she was a puppy. Of the three Zola is the most relaxed and easiest going.Any more laid back and she’d fall over.
