Stepping back during our training
You’ve worked hard, solved a problem (recall, delivery or another issue). Then our dogs throw a spanner in the works. Something you’ve worked really hard to do, and our dogs seem to have just forgotten it.

Frustrating isn’t it?
It happens to all of us. And I know that I’m as guilty as everyone one else at thinking less than charitable thoughts.
Don’t let it be.
It happens to all of us. No matter how frustrated you happen to be don’t let it show.Dogs are living beings and not robots. Training is never linear.
Take a step back.
Sometime just leaving it for a couple of weeks is all thats needed. No more than that. More often though taking a step back is needed.. Remember doing so is in no way a sign you’re doing anything wrong, just that you’ve recognised that something needs your attention. A different approach or just stepping back a couple of stages always work.
