Christmas Foods

Uncategorized

It’s the season of good will to all men, but that doesn’t always extend to our dogs. A number of good foods, which we adore can be very dangerous for our dogs. Theres a lot of food around and our family members are not always as aware of potential toxins.

A snack on any of these is going to be a medical emergency and ,potentially, a big vets bill – far better forewarned and avoided.

Chocolate

We’ll start with one everybody knows about. Chocolate is bad for all dogs, Basically the higher the Cocoa content the more toxic it will be. So if your dog munches down on yours 90% dark chocolate then off to the vets now.

Grapes

Grapes can be seriously toxic for dogs. Eating them is always a medical emergency. Even worse are the dried products of grapes. The toxins are concentrated in mincemeat as well.

Cooked Bones

Not a toxin, but cooked bones are likely to shatter and cause mouth or internal injuries. Raw Boones won shatter and are much more likely to be well tolerated.
