It would be very easy to fill this section with quotes, other peoples thoughts as to the best way to train dogs. I’m not going to do that. Dogs respond best to positive reinforcement so thats all we’ll use. If something we try works well then we’ll keep doing that. If it doesn’t then thats down to us, and we’ll try another approach. It won’t take long before we find something that works.
I use reward based training & clickers. Clicker training is proven to work and I’ll always encourage their use.

Dogs can smell your emotions, that may seem like a strange thing to say but their noses and senses of smell are a million times better than your own and they can certainly smell your hormones changing. For that reason alone it’s best to leave training for another day if you’re feeling frustrated or generally not happy. Take your dog for a good walk instead. You’ll have a much better session if you leave it for tomorrow. Your dog will thank you for it and you’ll get much more out of them.
I hope from this you’ll realise that my training methods are always positive, and I’ll always get the best from you and your dogs while being gentle and positive. We’ll get the best that way.
