Every lesson we’ll work on your dogs control – so that prey drive, thats so strong in gundogs, comes back under our control. We’ll have them thinking about what they’re doing.

Heal work. Off and on the lead
We’ll have your dog walking beautifully in the heal position. Once we have your dog walking well at heal off the lead, we’ll add a lead to the equation. Your dog will find the introduction of the lead really easy this way round.
Stop Whistle
Over time we’ll teach your dog to stop and sit, from the move, on a whistle command, and wait for further instruction from you. Having the ability to stop your dog when they’re moving will come in useful in a multitude of situations.
Turn Whistle
We’ll bring that prey drive under control and direct it using very simple commands and get them turning and hunting on our commands. I think one of there great joys in life is watching a dog working and hunting across ground under a handlers control.
Control & Placeboards
We’ll introduce a place board for your dog to retrieve from and back to. As they get used to this we’ll introduce control to proceedings, so they go for a retrieve when you tell them to, and to only fetch the dummies that you instruct.
Seen, Memory,Split and Blind Retrieves
Under our control, we’ll have your dog looking for dummies to retrieve for us and bring them back to our place board. Seen retrieves are just that, your dog sees the dummy and retrieves it, memory retrieves are just that. Your dog retrieves a dummy it remembers seeing fall. Split retrieves are a little more complex, we’ll send your dog to fetch, in the order you specify, two or more dummies. Blinds are more complex still, we’ll send your dog for one, or more retrieves they don’t know are there.
You can see how all this, and more will keep your dog very well challenged (in a good way) & their stimulation high
